Electrolysis is the only method of hair removal recognised as permanent. It allows us to treat every hair colour and every skin type safely and effectively, including hairs that laser simply cannot target.
If you’ve been told your blonde, grey or red hairs cant be treated, if you’ve finished laser but still have stubborn hairs coming through, or if you’re experiencing hormonal hair growth; electrolysis may be the missing piece.
What Is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a highly precise treatment that permanently destroys individual hair follicles using a sterile, fine probe and a controlled electrical current.
Unlike laser hair removal, which targets either the pigment in the hair, or blood flow to the hair follicle; electrolysis treats each follicle individually. This makes it ideal for:
Blonde, grey, red or white hair
Hormonal hair growth
Small, delicate facial areas
Stubborn hairs remaining after laser
Clients not suitable for laser and those that may have suffered Paradoxical Hypertrichosis
It is safe for all skin tones.
How Electrolysis Works
A sterile probe is gently inserted into the natural opening of the hair follicle.
A controlled electrical current destroys the cells responsible for hair growth.
The treated hair is carefully removed with no resistance.
Over time, treated hair follicles lose thei ability to produce a hair permanently. Because hair follicles grow hair in cycles, multiple sessions are required to treat each follicle whilst in its active growth phase.
Laser hair removal is incredibly effective, but only when pigment in the hair is present.
As a clinic built on honest and tailored treatments plans, we saw a gap in supporting our clients. Some of whom needed a solution laser could not provide.
